Adil Ahamed

Adil (Adeel) Ahamed MBA '12 represented the students of the Business School as a University Senator from 2010-2012, serving on the Budget Committee and Student Affairs Committee. He was also a Co-Chair of the Student Affairs Committee from 2011-2012, during which he led the Committee's professional and personal development initiatives, and initiated the University's first-ever student Quality of Life survey.

Prior to Columbia, Adil worked in microfinance with the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance in Switzerland and Tajikistan, and equity operations at Goldman Sachs in New York. Adil was a 2006-2007 Fellow of the International Microfinance and Microenterprise program under the Aga Khan Foundation Canada.

Adil received his Bachelors of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Law and Society from Cornell University in 2004.
