Established in 2002, cuBHANGRA is a competitive collegiate team that dances bhangra, a dance form native to Punjab. By combining traditional and contemporary choreography and music, the team has been able to achieve an iconic style and energy. cuBHANGRA has been an active force within the bhangra circuit for many years, primarily due to its commitment to create fun and entertaining routines that foster an appreciation for bhangra in both its dancers and audiences alike.

The team has performed at some of the top competitions in the country including Bhangra Blowout, Fever, Bhangra in the Burgh, etc. Columbia Bhangra also hosts its own showcase each December called Bhangra in the Heights and brings teams from all over the tristate area to perform. cuBHANGRA performs at many on campus events, the most notable being Tamasha in the spring.

The current team captains are Sabeen Sarwar and Nikhil Krishnan.
