The Columbia Makerspace is a collaborative, student-run workshop started in 2014. Currently located on the 12th floor of Mudd, the space is known for helping bewildered undergraduates, jammed Makerbot printers, and Thomas Orr. Student hours are regularly posted on the space's website, make.columbia.edu.

In 2020, the Makerspace was expanded and now also resides on the the 4th floor of Mudd, with a larger space and more equipment.
