The Office of the General Counsel or the OGC is filled with lawyers.

They protect the university's good name, but sometimes go overboard. Example: meddling in movie scripts to keep the Columbia name out of films produced on campus.

Should you wish to go overboard yourself, they are often gatekeepers for successful or at least tenacious bureaucratic wrangling.

Henry VI

Cade: I thank you, good people—there shall be no money; all shall eat and drink on my score, and I will apparel them all in one livery, that they may agree like brothers, and worship me their lord.
Dick: The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.
Cade: Nay, that I mean to do.
