Student government consists of the student councils, CCSC, ESC, GSSC, and SGA. Their most important function is overseeing five governing boards, which allocate student fees to student organizations. Those boards are:

• Activities Board at Columbia (ABC)
• Student Governing Board (SGB)
• Inter-Greek Council (IGC)
• Community Impact
• Club Sports
