Please list a citation for your changes to the Barnard College page. Pacman 21:13, 4 October 2009 (EDT)

Actually, the CAA point is well taken. (Pacman, see: http://alumni.columbia.edu/connect/caa_conbylaws_2007.pdf Article III and Appendix I specifically) I'll add that when I do a re-write of the Barnard related pages, which I've been meaning to do for a while, as I originally wrote them and have done the bulk of the re-writing since (I think) with a few key revisions by others (hattip to user:nonsensical, who I don't think comes here anymore.) That being said, I chose my words regarding the diplomas very carefully. The "Trustees of Columbia", i.e. Columbia's governing body, do in fact grant degrees to Barnard College. That being said, the fact that the Trustees as an entity have a unique identity separate from Columbia University itself is an interesting proposition (as in "Barnard students are granted their degrees by the Trustees of Columbia, but technically not Columbia University itself.") That would make it just another of the nuanced points in the BC-CU relationship that leaves students on both side of the street unsatisfied (depending on what their point of view is.) Thanks; I wasn't sure what the exact situation was here, but knew all it would require was a cite and a quick rewrite. Pacman 23:42, 4 October 2009 (EDT)
