Housing Services administers undergraduate housing for CC/SEAS. It is based at 125 Wallach Hall.

Overview

Columbia has 17 undergraduate residence halls in an area bounded by Riverside Drive, Morningside Drive, 113th St, and 119th St. The residence halls accommodate 5,200 beds. First-year students usually live in one of the residence halls situated around South Lawn: Hartley, Wallach Hall, John Jay, Furnald, or Carman. Upperclass students may also live in Hartley and Wallach Hall, which are collectively part of the Living and Learning Center (LLC), through a highly selective application process. Other upperclassmen participate in a housing lottery. Rising sophomores may also live in Furnald Hall if their lottery numbers are good enough.
