Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs (CORE) is a University-wide organization that provides educational resources and financial support to aspiring entrepreneurial students. Throughout the year, CORE hosts seminars on starting businesses, organizes lectures from famous entrepreneurs, and holds business planning competitions to award seed money to promising student start-ups.

In Fall 2013, CORE grew to over 1,000 followers under the leadership of Kevin Zhang, CC '14. The group brought Twitter founder Jack Dorsey to campus, set up events with YCombinator, and held various workshops for the Columbia community.
