Norman Podhoretz CC '50 JTS '?? is considered a foundational figure of the neoconservative movement, as the editor of the influential Commentary magazine. At Columbia, he was mentored by literary critic Lionel Trilling, and then studied abroad at Cambridge on a Kellett Fellowship.
