See also Wikipedia's article about "Saskia Sassen".

Saskia Sassen is a big-name sociologist. Officially, she's the Robert S. Lynd Professor of Sociology. She's known for coining the term "global city", among other things. As such, she's kind of a jet-setter and even has another chair at LSE, so good luck catching up with her. She was raised in Argentina, where her Nazi father fled after the war.
