Tulane University is a private university located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Around 150 students from Tulane, Loyola University New Orleans, and other schools enrolled at Columbia as visiting students through the School of Continuing Education during the Fall 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.[1] During their stay, the Tulane students were rumored to have improved Columbia's social life, although when some stayed on at Columbia, there was some behind the scenes grumbling about backdoor admissions. Their presence on campus became a plot point in the 112th Varsity Show the following spring.
