Watt is possibly the most desired residence hall on campus (although it's not actually on campus proper, but on 113th St. facing McBain). It has some of the most spacious and well-appointed singles and two-bedroom apartments.

Facilities

Suites

  • 12 apartments for 2 with 1 bedroom
  • 11 apartments for 2 with 2 bedrooms
  • 28 studio singles
  • 35 studio doubles

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages

  • Watt 1O is an often-overlooked large double. On other floors it would be a one-bedroom.
  • Can travel room to room via the fire escape

Disadvantages

  • No common lounges.
  • No computer labs or printers.
  • Elevator sometimes gets stuck between floors.
  • Fire engine based at 113th and Amsterdam frequently blares sirens and horn late at night.
