College Walk of Shame was the title of the 116th Annual Varsity Show, which debuted in Roone Arledge Auditorium on April 30, 2010 and ran until May 2. The title is a reference to both College Walk and one of the central plot points, the 'walk of shame' students make in mornings when returning home from the room of a sexual partner. The show was generally considered a success. While the Spectator's review of the show was less than lukewarm, Bwog celebrated most of the shows elements and ended its review mentioning the heartwarming aspect of the show: "Said one Bwogger, 'I actually got warm fuzzy feelings.' And for a show that’s long been essentially a giant roast of the Columbia campus, that’s no small feat." The show's short length was also appreciated by most audience members, running under two hours including intermission.

The show was notable for its smaller sketch bits that recalled the Varsity Show's origins as a variety show and made fun of the Lerner Piano Lounge, Milano Market, and COOP.The show also recalled Varsity Show history by using drag in a number in which male cast members played Barnard students. Further returning to old Varsity Show roots while also evolving the tradition, V116 moved away from the recent tradition of using The Blue and White to write the show's program and instead enlisted the original program writer, The Jester, along with The Fed to co-create a program together.

Plot
Life at Columbia can be stressful when dealing with the Lerner Piano, COOP rituals, and Public Safety, which is why students always make Thursday a night they'll never forget (at least until the morning). With only two months till graduation, Travis has checked everything off from his college bucket list except one thing...his virginity. But when he meets charismatic Barnard junior Emma, sex might come second to a chance at a real relationship.

Across Broadway, Barnard Dean Dorothy Denburg conspires to make sure her students act like the Disney princesses of her dreams with a new community plan.

Throw into a mix a Medieval Studies major trying to fit in, a Barnard freshman in need of friends, and a CC teacher who's too cool to leave school, and Columbians will always risk a bad decision, even if they regret it in their morning walk of shame.

The Gates of Wrath was the 115th annual Varsity Show. It was performed four times in Roone Arledge Auditorium at Columbia University from May 1st to May 3rd, 2009. The title is a combination of the John Steinbeck novel "The Grapes of Wrath" and a reference to the show's plot about the locking of Columbia's gates. The show featured a fictionalized Austin E. Quigley as its villain. While elements of the show were celebrated, such as Pat Blute's performance as Quigley and the set and lighting design, in general the show was considered to be too long, almost reaching 3 hours when including its twenty minute intermission.

Plot
The economy is in tatters, the endowment is down, and JJ's closes at 2am nowadays. As freshmen struggle to break out of the Columbia bubble, unemployed alums are desperate to break back in. And after fourteen years as dean of Columbia College, Austin Quigley has been unceremoniously sacked for his irresponsible spending and power-hungry ways. No, it's not an ideal time for anyone at Columbia this year.

But Quigley’s not leaving the ivory tower without a fight. Once university president Lee Bollinger is out on a “fun run,” the deranged dean locks the Columbia gates and establishes himself as ruler. When the campus becomes his self-contained kingdom, the CU Assassins game turns deadly, exorcisms start happening in the common rooms, and the Hallelujah Man preaches his message of love from 113th St.

In short, things in Morningside are as strange as ever, but now it’s a lot harder to get off-campus.

Morningside Hates was the 114th annual Varsity Show. It was performed in Roone Arledge Auditorium in May 2008. The title is a play on Morningside Heights referencing recent hate crimes, in case you were too stupid to figure that out.

Because of its references to these and other current events of the past school year (including the 2007 hunger strike and the visit of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad), the is still considered by both Varsity Show insiders and the general student body members to be one of the best in recent history [citation needed]. Comments about the success of V114 became especially prevalent after V115 which was generally considered a much weaker production. Student criticism focused on the lack of diversity within the cast, which they argued was reflected in the storyline.

Plot
Whether it’s school, their peers, or of course, Barnard, there’s nothing Columbia students love more than finding something to hate. So when optimistic Cornell transfer David meets idealistic Barnard eco-rep Lizzy, the penchant for positive thinking that sets them apart from the rest of campus draws them closer to each other.

After a “bias incident” at Columbia’s all-female counterpart, however, head of Public Safety James McShane attempts to consolidate control over Barnard’s campus. When President Judith Shapiro realizes that this is more about hate and less about crime, she bites back, setting off a bitter conflict that pits the two schools against each other.

As Barnard stands her ground and Columbia refuses to give in, David and Lizzy struggle to stay together, finding it harder than they expected to keep cool in the hate-wave.

The show was notable for its smaller sketch bits that made fun of the Lerner Piano Lounge, Milano Market, and COOP.
