'''Carnegie Mellon University''' is a science and technology-focused institution located in [[Pittsburgh]], [[Pennsylvania]]. It's sort of like [[MIT]], but worse; or maybe like a slightly better [[SEAS]], but located in a much worse city.

The school demonstrated its longing for presence in a superior burg by submitted proposals during the [[2011 Applied Sciences NYC competition]] for new campus in [[New York City]]. Its proposal for [[Brooklyn]] Navy Yard lost, but since it was also part of the large [[NYU]]-led consortium of schools that proposed a Center for Urban Science and Progress in Downtown [[Brooklyn]], it also kinda won.
