The '''University of Oxford''' (alt: '''Oxford University''' or simply '''Oxford''') is a British university. Together with the [[University of Cambridge]] it is part of [[Oxbridge]], the two most elite universities in the UK.

Oxford is the destination for [[Rhodes scholarships|Rhodes Scholars]] and is as such considered by Americans to be the best university in Britain, if not the world. Many in Britain, if not the world, fail to share this opinion.

As with Cambridge, Columbia has an agreement with Oxford allowing qualified students to spend their junior year studying there.
