Psi Upsilon&amp;#039;s Lambda Chapter was founded on June 25, 1842, which makes it the oldest fraternity here.  Although Alpha Delta Phi was actually founded at Columbia earlier, they are not a fraternity, but rather a literary society.  The Columbia chapter of ADP broke off years ago from the national fraternity of ADP, went co-ed, and changed themselves into a literary society, making Psi U the oldest frat at CU.  I realize it&amp;#039;s easy to confuse the two, but this is the truth.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
