Robert Leo "Bob" Sheppard MA(?) '33 is the public announcer for the New York Yankees. In his 58-year career, he has witnessed in person 22 of the Yankees' 26 World Series wins. His announcing has become so closely associated with the baseball club that many simply call him "The Voice of the Yankees." Sheppard received a master's degree in speech from Columbia in 1933.
