Peter Gray graduated from Columbia magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree with Psychology. Later, he went off to get a Ph.D. in Biology downtown at Rockefeller University, became a professor at Boston College, and wrote a popular Psychology textbook which most introductory students use to this day.
He's an example of a person that was actually successful after majoring in psychology.
