The Black Theatre Ensemble (BTE) is one of the many on-campus performing arts groups. As is evidenced by the group's title, BTE usually performs theatrical pieces created by African-American or African playwrights or pieces about life for African-Americans or Africans. However, this rule is not an absolute.
BTE is a recognized student group under the Activities Board at Columbia.
