Jim McGreevy CC '78 is the former governor of New Jersey, known for flaming out in a gay sex scandal.
Like Barack Obama, he came to Columbia as a transfer student. He spent slightly more then one calendar year at Columbia, as he had transferred after a year of community college, then a year at the Catholic University of America, and then took summer sessions before and after his only academic year at Columbia before graduating.
