Alina Ying

Alina Ying SEAS '19 is from San Jose, California and is a Computer Science major. Alina was elected to the Engineering Student Council as a first year in class council as Vice President. In her junior year, she ran with the Executive Board party SEAS the Change Δ and was elected as the SEAS Student Body President for 2019-2020.

• F@CU allocations to the six governing boards: ABC, SGB, IGC, CSGB, CI, GBB
• Bacchanal Funding
• For institutional memory: redesigned the internal organization of the ESC Drive (backed-up)
• Advocated undergraduate SEAS academic concerns in the Engineering Committee on Instruction
• Established pipelines between ESC and Undergraduate Student Life with Dean Cristen Kromm
• Established pipelines between ESC and Center for Career Education with Dean Kavita Sharma
• Biweekly meetings with VP Scott Wright; invited to ESC general body
• Biweekly meetings with Vice Deans Soulaymane Kachani and/or Barclay Morrison
• Monthly meetings on the Housing Advisory Board (HAB)
• Judged for Basketball Mania
• Biweekly newsletters to the all of engineering (undergrad SEAS students, Deans)
