Andrea Mackris is a graduate of the Journalism School. On October 13, 2004, Mackris filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against FOX News host, Bill O'Reilly, of The O'Reilly Factor, during her employment as an associate producer at FOX News. The lawsuit alleged that O'Reilly had repeatedly sexually harassed Mackris in the workplace, during dinners, and most fantastically, that O'Reilly had solicited phone sex with Mackris and suggested that he massage her breasts with a "falafel thing".[1]

The New York Daily News reported that O'Reilly settled out of court to a dollar amount between $2 million and $10 million.[2]

On the same day Mackris filed her suit, O'Reilly filed suit against Mackris, alleging Mackris attempted to extort $60 million from him using her sexual harassment lawsuit as a threat, infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful interference with contractual relations.[3]
