Awash is an Ethiopian restaurant on Amsterdam Avenue between 106th and 107th Streets. Its phone number is 212-961-1416. Awash is a fun place to go in a group.

It's the best Ethiopian restaurant in the neighborhood; choose this over Massawa if given the option. You scoop up the large entrees using doughy, spongy bread called injera. Stand-out dishes include the yetimatim fitfit and the tebsie. If it's your first time, go for the "tibs".
