Boston College (BC) is, contrary to its name, a university. In this respect, it suffers from the same illusion as Dartmouth, but has the excuse of needing to differentiate itself from Boston University. BC is basically an up and coming Jesuit school on the edge of, you guessed it, Boston, with a mostly suburban feel. Its claim to fame is that, unlike many nearby institutions of higher learning, it's got decent sports. Unfortunately, unlike many nearby institutions of higher learning, its claim to fame does not have anything to do with, well, learning itself.

Despite not exactly being the greatest university in the Boston area, BC alums run Boston because, well, Harvard's are busy running everything else.
