Capital New York, or Capital for short, is a news website that reports on the politics, culture, media, and sports of New York City. Launched in summer 2010 by New York Observer veterans Tom McGeveran and Josh Benson, it describes itself as "an online news publication about how things work in New York"[1]. Naturally, it reports on Columbia with some frequency.[2]

Blue and White and Bwog partisans including Mark Hay, Eliza Shapiro, and Avi Zenilman have freelanced for the site. Of especial note are Eliza's longform story on Moodygate[3][4], her interview regarding Operation Ivy LeagueCite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag.
