:Town-Gown relations.  The administrators see fraternities as little more than drinking clubs.  Not to mention that the brownstones they occupy are incredibly expensive and it doesn't cost much more to live in them than it does to live in the dorms, so I believe they operate the buildings at a loss. Town-Gown relations. The administrators see fraternities as little more than drinking clubs. Not to mention that the brownstones they occupy are incredibly expensive and it doesn't cost much more to live in them than it does to live in the dorms, so I believe they operate the buildings at a loss.
