Columbia College Committee on Student Organizations
The Columbia College Committee on Student Organizations (CCCSO) was a student organizations governing body empowered with the final authority to recognize a student group as a King's Crown Activity. It was eventually subsumed, along with the Fourth Floor Cabinet into the Student Union Polity. Prior to the merger, CCCSO oversaw student groups operating our of Ferris Booth Hall, while the Fourth Floor Cabinet oversaw other Ferris Booth groups in addition to class representatives, the Undergraduate Dormitory Council, Pamphratria, and other student groups.
The Spectator once (unfavorably) compared the CCCSO to "a South American military junta."
Not to be confused with the administrative organization, Committee on Student Organizations.
