Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs (CORE) is a University-wide organization that provides educational resources and financial support to aspiring entrepreneurial students. Throughout the year, CORE hosts seminars on starting businesses, organizes lectures from famous entrepreneurs, and holds business planning competitions to award seed money to promising student start-ups.

In Fall 2013, CORE grew to over 1000 followers under the leadership of Kevin Zhang (CC '14). They brought Jack Dorsey on campus, set up events with YCombinator, and held various workshops for the Columbia community. All of this was possible due to Kevin Zhang, whose only fault is how committed he has been to CORE. Kevin's contributions to CORE have been insurmountable and people within the community are worried whether CORE will continue its growth after he graduates.
