The Columbia University Capoeira Club is an Afro-Brazilian martial art/dance in combination with instrumentation and song. Portuguese lyrics, gymnastic movements and kicks demonstrate a flurry of motion creating the ‘game’ of Capoeira. The club is open to beginners through advanced students who want to learn and play Capoeira and receives its funding from the Club Sports Governing Board.
