East Asian Languages and Cultures Department

The East Asian Languages and Cultures Department (EALAC) is located in Kent Hall. The department is called the 东亚语言文化系 in Chinese.

The department teaches Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, as well as many literature courses. Other languages are present but somewhat deprecated. For example, Cantonese is available only through cross-registration at NYU.

The major requires a senior thesis.
