Franklin Delano Roosevelt, President of the United States, was a Columbia Law School dropout, as was his relative Theodore Roosevelt before him. Though he had spent over two years at the school, FDR did not pursue his degree after passing the bar exam in 1907.

Years later, as President, Roosevelt would summon a group of mostly Columbia professors as his "Brain Trust" to help solve the problems of the Great Depression.
