Greta Gerwig B '06 is an actress. She starred in several mumblecore films right after graduation, including LOL and Hannah Takes the Stairs, before getting her break in Noah Baumbach films such as Greenberg and Frances Ha.

While at Barnard she was active in Parliamentary Debate, the improv comedy group Tea Party, and the 111th Varsity Show, in which she was one of the stars. She studied English and philosophy.

In May of 2013, The Blue and White featured Gerwig in its interview feature, The Conversation[1].
