Havemeyer Hall is the home of the Chemistry Department.

Room 309, the Grand Lecture Hall is considered the "signature architectural feature" of Charles Follen McKim's original six building campus [1]. The lecture hall features features a 40-foot domed ceiling, 330 tiered seats, brass railed gallery, and a 40-foot oak demonstration table. The lecture hall has been featured in a number of films. Undergraduates have been known to sleep through General Chemistry lectures in the gallery of the lecture hall.
