James J. Valentini

Professor James J. Valentini is a professor of Chemistry at Columbia. He assumed the responsibilities of Dean of Columbia College and Vice President for Undergraduate Education in the Department of Chemistry after Michele M. Moody-Adams resigned in the summer of 2011. He is currently the interim dean but had been chair of Columbia's Chemistry Department from 2005 to 2008 and later the directer of the chemistry department’s undergraduate studies program.
