The Kreitschman PET Center was a research laboratory on the Medical School campus. In July 2010, it was shut down by the FDA for injecting suspicious radioactive substances into schizophrenic patients' brains, and then covering up the process with forged documents. Well done, Kreitschman PET Center. Anything for science.

As a result of the incident, the EVP for Research, David I. Hirsh, resigned.
