Lawrence A. Wien CC '25 Law '27 was a generous alumnus and trustee of the university who made his fortune in real estate.

Among his many contributions were funds for the construction of Wien Stadium and renovation of Johnson Hall, for which the building and its food court were renamed in his honor.

In addition, the Lawrence A. Wien Main Reading Room in Butler Library and the Lawrence A. Wien Prize for Social Responsibility are named after him.
