Elizabeth Margaret Strauss SEAS '08 MA (TC) '11 M.Ed (TC) '13 was the president of the ESC for the 2007-2008 academic year. She majored in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, she went on to receive her MA and M.Ed. from Teachers College.

During her time as ESC President, Strauss focused on opening the sixth floor of Lerner Hall. In 2008 it was decided that the sixth floor (which had been vacant prior that) would be built out as administrative offices for Student Affairs and Financial Aid, thus vacating office space in places such as Carman and Broadway.

Strauss is now the Associate Director of Curricular Planning & Analysis for Columbia College.
