Massawa is an Ethiopian restaurant on Amsterdam Avenue at 122th Street, located beneath Plimpton.
It's more upscale than the other local Ethiopian restaurant, Awash, but not so good. Most people think Awash is the better of the two restaurants. Still, Massawa offers a nice tebshi dehro with plenty of spongy injera on the side, which makes for a hearty dinner.
