He won a Truman Scholarship and became a federal judge on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2017, Gorsuch was nominated by President Donald J. Trump to serve as Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. He was confirmed by a vote of 51-48 to fill the seat vacated by Associate Justice Antonin Scalia.
