Philippe Reines GS '00 is Deputy Assistant Secretary of State. He transferred to the School of General Studies from a night school in Boston, and earned his B.A. in political science when he was 30. He then applied to the Journalism School, the Peace Corps, and the FBI, but eventually decided to work on Al Gore's ill-fated presidential campaign.
