Major Events

PDPsi Presents "3LAU"

On April 18th, 2013, Pi Delta Psi hosted "3LAU" (pronounced [ˈblaʊ]), a charity concert featuring rising DJ/musician 3LAU. With over 1000 people in attendance at Best Buy Theater in Times Square, it was the largest event held by a Greek organization at Columbia University.

"I Survived a Pi Delta Psi Gameshow"

Each winter, Columbia Pi Delta Psi hosts a gameshow in which teams face off in a series of events such as "Melt the Ice" to "Balloon Stomp". Contestants compete for the honor and pride of being able to say “I Survived a PDPsi Gameshow!” and win various prizes. Participation is free, but there is a suggested charitable donation of $5. In 2013, all proceeds from the event were donated to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, the nation's premiere donor and volunteer-supported youth mentoring organization.

Spring Clothing Exchange

Since 2011, Pi Delta Psi has been co-hosting a clothing exchange with Kappa Alpha Theta and Circle K. This initiative involves a large-scale clothing drive within the Columbia University community, ultimately leading to a flea market event out on Low Plaza to sell these items at a discounted price. Students are encouraged to donate clean, lightly-worn clothing or shoes to help the cause. All proceeds from the event are donated to charity.

In 2013, over $1100 was raised for Big Brothers, Big Sisters (BBBS) and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). The unsold clothing was donated to the Salvation Army.

In 2014, the clothing exchange was held with Alpha Chi Omega and Circle K. Despite being rained out after just four hours, the flea market sale still raised over $1000 for Big Brothers, Big Sisters and The Rachel B. Swett Endowment Fund. Once again, the unsold clothing was donated to the Salvation Army.
