Richard Ng SEAS '06 disappeared during exam week in Spring 2006. After weeks of frantic searching, investigators would conclude that he killed himself by jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge on May 7 of that year. Theories abounded regarding the reason for Ng's suicide so soon before graduation; some believed he was ashamed to have received a low grade or may have discovered he would fail to graduate for some reason.
