Richard Rodgers was a Broadway composer. At Columbia, he befriended Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein, and participated in the Varsity Show. He wrote "Fly with Me," the Varsity Show of 1920, with lyrics by Hart. He was also a member of Pi Lambda Phi. Originally in the Class of 1923, Rodgers dropped out in 1921 to attend Juilliard.
