Ruggles vandalization incident

The Ruggles vandalization incident was a much-publicized act of vandalism that took place in 2006. A few drunken students sprayed homophobic graffiti on the walls of a suite in Ruggles Hall. This, along with some less severe incidents, prompted widespread concern and led to the establishment of the protest group SHOCC. Many believed that the vandals involved later got off with the slap on the wrist.
