The Columbia Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics is the Columbia chapter of the international SIAM organization. As a student group, it is officially part of the Applied Math department at Columbia. In the past, it has hosted events such as the MMATHS math competition for high school students. It currently organizes a Python coding bootcamp for local high schoolers and occasional talks by professors.
