sad that we don't have an Alumni House anymore...some southern state schools have palatial ones. Pacman 14:00, 24 May 2007 (EDT)

May I add that it's also sad we no longer have much ivy on campus? I mean, I thought they bred varieties that wouldn't erode brick? Pacman 14:01, 24 May 2007 (EDT)
isn't that what this is for? it's in midtown, which is probably a better idea, for alumni living in outer boroughs, jersey, connecticut, upstate, whatever. they probably don't want to go all the way uptown to buell hall anyway. Foobar 14:10, 24 May 2007 (EDT)
The Columbia Club is a joke...it's basically the Princeton Club with like one Columbia campus photo on the wall to appease us. Anyway an alumni house is different from an alumni club...the purpose of the latter is for alumni to have a comfortable place to hang out...the former is to connect alumni and current students, for whom a campus location is convenient.

But speaking of the Columbia Club, someone should start an article. Pacman 14:17, 24 May 2007 (EDT)
