  • POV: I took ASCE 2002 with de Bary and quite frankly, it was the most dense but also the most informative course I've ever taken. If you are capable of doing all the readings (and it was quite heavy, about 200-400 pp per week; someone on CULPA compared it to "keeping up with a 747"), then you will learn a lot about China and Japan, admittedly less about Korea. Also, most sections of ASCE 2002 are huge. De Bary only takes around 20 or so students.Ttan 06:18, 20 May 2007 (EDT)

Plato

Plato didn't affect his culture nearly as much as Confucius? Plato>Aristotel>Organon>New Organon>Scientific Method; and this is just one of the branches.
