The Vagelos Center, formerly known as the Nexus, will be Barnard's future student center. Students have already leapt at the opportunity to rechristen it with the unfortunate moniker of the Vag.[1]
Construction began in June of 2007 with the demolition of McIntosh. The new building is slated to open in 2009. The naming rights cost $20 million.[2]
