A transcript is a print out of all your Columbia courses and grades. To get an official, watermarked copy, you can visit SSOL, or go in in person. The Registrar is obligated to provide you (and mail out) free copies for life (it has been asserted that if one plays one's cards right, one can actually wrangle money from Columbia this way).
If an employer wants an unofficial transcript, you can generally just print out the 'grades' page from SSOL.
