Oooooh! So that's how you do that. Can you recommend a good tutorial on MediaWiki? I looked at their manual and found it hard to find what I wanted. Nonsensical 14:34, 12 May 2007 (EDT)

Unfortunately I don't know of any good MediaWiki guides... Everything I know, I learned here: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Editing That's probably the guide you were referring to though.  − Reaganaut  14:48, 12 May 2007 (EDT)

Haha, thanks for the PrezBo, Reaganaut. Tis a great honor. Nonsensical 20:18, 19 May 2007 (EDT)

Reaganaut, I notice you're editing the Suicide article at 4 in the morning. Is there something we need to talk about? Nonsensical 04:06, 25 May 2007 (EDT)

Ah, but it's 9:07am for me! Nothing to worry about at all :)  − Reaganaut  04:08, 25 May 2007 (EDT)

spam from nonregistered users

edits by the nonregistered was enabled a few weeks ago. this seems to be highly correlated with:

  1. sorority shenanegans and
  2. viagra/vioxx spam.

i therefore request disabling edits without registering. 128.59.150.168 11:37, 1 June 2007 (EDT)

mmmm, irony. --216.6.170.21 00:05, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
Yes, I've seen all that spam. I think I will disable edits by unregistered users, but first, does anyone else have an opinion about this?  − Reaganaut  09:06, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
As long as we monitor the site, I think unregistered users should be able to make edits. WhatYouKnowAboutThat 07:51, 4 June 2007 (EDT)
I think edits by unregistered users is fine. We catch it pretty fast and it's not that frequent. I'd rather leave it open with the hope of attracting new users with ease of editing. --Nonsensical 10:26, 4 June 2007 (EDT)
OK, as long as I'm not the only one looking out for spam, I'm happy to continue to allow edits by unregistered users. Thanks!  − Reaganaut  17:28, 4 June 2007 (EDT)

Hmmm, things are worsening.  − Reaganaut  19:10, 10 June 2007 (EDT)
